As a baby, my mum discovered if she parked my pram in front of a radio, I would shut up completely, not even to express hunger. So I spent my first year or two in close proximity to the music machine.  Rhythm is everything.

I think Bill Maher mentioned this recently. It may have been a different family. But a similar event.
