Sunday School 1 month, 2 weeks agoIf somebody’s pushing somebody’s elbow as they type at a keyboard, or point to letters, then obviously that’s a pointless exercise. But if they’re doing it themselves, it opens up communication to an otherwise non-verbal person.

Maybe, but I don’t use the word “better”. It even bugs me when people compare their early teen performances with their later years and say they’ve gotten better. More skilled, more creative, more proficient overall, bigger audiences, reactors that are obviously impressed much more than they expected, and often pointing out how DPA are “better”…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 month, 2 weeks agoFacilitated Communication sits at the intersection of hope, identity, and perceived injustice, which makes it unusually resistant to evidence. When you watch FC in action, it can be convincing. The person appears to be communicating fluently, even sometimes at a level far beyond what anyone expected. The problem is that this impression is exactly…[Read more]

Ya can’t take out the instinct of a feline notwithstanding artificial selection. They are predators to the core. I should not say that because in all likelihood given enough time and artificial selection it might be diminished and ultimately end. But as things stand our little friends are giving us gifts cuz we are part of their posse.

Funny stuff on cult/religion. Funny cuz of its accuracy. And as i’ve indicated here a discreet cult of say 500 carrying on precisely as hard core Muslims would be viewed as a departure from any form of decent way to live. Cult members would be seen as victims who outside world helps to deprogram.
The deliberate entanglement in the…[Read more]
