Unseen, The average person would also benefit from AI and automation if all they had to do was debug the processors and spray clods off of the automated plows and oil the machines. Humans would also still have to provide oversight if AI made mistakes. As I’ve pointed out earlier, they still need art lessons.

    Sounds fulfilling. LOL

No president has been this unpopular. And he managed to do it in just three months!

    Fellow Unbelievers,

I heard this story snippet below on the radio the other night going home from work. It’s yet one more reason why you can’t place trust in “watchdogs” patrolling for Misinformation/Disinformation/Malinformation (MDM 🦁 *Growl!*)

The BBC just completely nonchalantly, without a hint of a suppressed giggle, put out a story about Safarwadi Cave in West Java, Indonesia, a cave said by Indonesian Muslims to lead on an underground Hajj all the way to Mecca, Saudi Arabia:

Fast forward to 15:15 to get the story:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct7z4k

Of course, before the “Hajj Cave” story, the BBC was also completely nonchalant about the prouncements of Luigi Mangioni’s defense attorney about the “terrorism” of U.S. health care, so par the course I guess.

When it comes to MDM 🦁*Growl!*. we are each on our own.

The Voice of Indonesia page on Safarwadi Cave also has some funny weasel words about it:

The Story Of Safarawadi Tasikmalaya Cave, Can It Really Reach Mecca?

    https://voi.id/en/lifestyle/459044

He explained that the story was only part of the fragmentation of stories from generation to generation of ancestors. Endang also emphasized the importance of responding to the viral Safarwadi Cave phenomenon after being referred to as a wise path to Mecca.

Endang emphasized that in real terms, Safarwadi Cave does not have a direct route to Mecca. He explained that this cave is referred to as a road to Mecca because people often make it a place of prayer in the hope of being able to perform worship in the Holy Land…

Endang emphasized that Safarwadi Cave is an important symbol of business strength and prayer. According to him, by praying and trying hard, someone can realize their dream of performing the pilgrimage properly.

“Yes, if we go to the Holy Land, when will we arrive if we do. It’s just a sacred story, by praying, praying to Allah it is not impossible for them to get a lot of sustenance which can finally go for Hajj,” he said.

Servicing and repairing AI would be easier work, which is consistent with what Americans actually want, despite saying that they want more factory jobs at home.

Americans want more U.S. factory jobs—as long as they don’t have to work them

    Rpbert,

I hope, as time goes on, we’ll see this song translated into Arabic, Parsi, and Urdu:

And this daring song might become a popular sass-back to both Allah and his self-appointed Viziers-on-Earth:

    @Enco

We need to start planning for a world where many citizens won’t have jobs but somehow aren’t destitute. Not having a traditional job doesn’t necessarily mean sitting on the couch eating bon-bons and watching TV. I, for example, don’t have a job but am active all day long.

The alternative would seem to be walled cities with people with jobs on the inside and jobless destitues outside in a law-of-the-jungle world.

We haven’t yet mapped the human brain like we’ve mapped the human genome and even with what we’ve mapped of both, we’re only beginning to apply what we know. We’ve got a ways to go before we have to worry about dividing into Eloi and Morlocks.

How does a citizen justify paying a parking ticket, alimony or obeying any court order? We have our example, right?

    From Private Eye magazine:

China has pledged not to back down in its trade war with President Trump, with president Xi pledging to defend capitalism and the free market.

In a televised address to the nation, Xi rallied his people. “We will not accept the excessive tariffs of the centralized state controlled economy,” he said.

“They wish to create an artificial ‘golden age’ by controlling production and imports, but we will not surrender to their communist ideology.”

White House officials insisted they also would not back down, saying their glorious leader Donald Trump was going to lead all Americans on the long march to victory over reality.

Even at 11:30 AM where I’m at, it’s too early in the morning to understand all this. I. also just got finished reading a book review of some horrible academic text trying to package deal Austrian free-market capitalism with Nazi Race theory and IQ-obsessed cranks. The review even compared the text’s prose side-by-side with Von Mises to show what nonsense the comprison was.

Time to check the gaslight valve.

Ah…the courts, they are rigged by extreme leftist communists you know.

Can I use that next time I get a ticket?

It is a shame the founders didn’t bother writing laws preventing convicted criminals from entering into presidential candidacy. I mean, why would they. Americans would never elect a lawless criminal, right?
