I can think of reasons your therapist wouldn’t want you to vent in sessions depending on her modality.
that must be it then. It’s called cpt cognitive processing therapy I think. That’s probably why. Does it work? Or is it another huge waste of time and money like so many bandaid fixes are lol…if it’s legit maybe I’ll give it a go

Sometimes people just don’t speak the same language.
It’s often framed as being designed to protect works of art, but works of art by themselves are inanimate, lifeless things. One has to ask why bothering doing that? Was it because the works of art hired lobbyists because they feared being copied. No.
It was done on behalf of original…[Read more]

They’re discriminated against on the basis of sexuality and gender preference. Those are similar enough to lump them in together. Also, as @autumn says, they overlap quite heavily.
Your logic only works because you inserted the “and,” but lots of groups are or feel discriminated against. You could reasonably keep on adding on all the o…[Read more]

@autumn I haven’t engaged in that tangent and I have no interest in it. I’ve pretty expressly stayed on the topic of movies and deliberately only engaged the issue of attractiveness that far.
As often happens, topics go off onto sidebar discussions. You’ve denied Robert’s discussion about what women find attractive in men, which g…

What does that have to do with cinema?
Pay attention. We aren’t only talking about cinema. We’re talking about what women find attractive in men. You’re a woman and so…it’s not a trick question. I went into detail about my preferences. Fair is fair. What raises the humidity in your nether regions?

You’re entitled to your opinion even if it’s shared by almost nobody who pays money to see movies, including female moviegoers. Trying to foist one’s preferences and values down an audience that wants something else will always be doomed to failure.
The great numbers of people staying away from Disney’s revisionist woke movies is the…[Read more]

The GOPers are already pushing an agenda against gays in full knowledge that 2/3 of Americans are accepting of gays and lesbians. An agenda that would roll back many of those gains. Imagine a U.S. with a GOP-dominated Congress (both houses) along with a rabid right wing populist President like Trump or DeSantis. In that case, one…[Read more]

Free speech isn’t just for the speech you like.
CNN is not putting its proverbial thumb on the scale in Trump’s favor. As far as I’m concerned, if Trump is the leading GOP candidate, it would be rather odd of them as a news service to deplatform him and only let pundits describe him as CNN’s critics here seem to desire.
Letting him…[Read more]

Oh, you wanted them to do all the candidates all at once. It’s a wee bit early to mount that particular criticism, unless you’re desperate to come up with a criticism, any criticism.
How about let’s assess them just before the election?

I get it: It’s okay for the press to take sides with lopsided presentations which favor one candidate over the other if one of them is horrible (MSNBC, for example). It’s only that journalistic impartiality (once upon a time) was a central feature of journalistic integrity. However, Trump is so bad that impartiality be damned.

Having the “bully pulpit” isn’t enough, I guess.
Speaking for myself, I would prefer they try to convince me out in the open, not by sneakily attempting to make sure I simply don’t even see information they BELIEVE to be misinformation.
But governments sometimes MANUFACTURE disinformation. Recently, in response to the Nord Stream…[Read more]
