Sunday School 1 year, 9 months agoA SONNET ON SPRINGFIELD’S HAITIANS
Beneath the moon, a gruesome feast they hold,
Those dusky Haitians, their hunger set loose.
Their plates are piled with dishes both hot and cold,
Beloved cats and dogs plus the occasional goose. With gusto they devour the delicious flesh.
Their laughter echoes through the frightful wood,
A macabre scene, a…[Read more] -

Sunday School 1 year, 9 months agoRyan Routh had spent time in Ukraine and I had wondered why he had not thought to use a drone, giving the volume of drones used in the war against Russia. My friend in Ukraine said the same to me the following day.

Sunday School 1 year, 9 months agoI’m waiting for someone, either party, to be killed with a suicide drone. If Ukrainians can blow up tanks with easily-modified off-the-shelf drones, I don’t think there’s a way to stop it from happening.

I don’t think that assassination attempt was real. I think they were both staged. It’s Trump’s new way to get a poll boost. “Poor me look at me, they’re trying to kill me, (sob sob)…..”Staged with the full cooperation of the Secret Service?
I don’t think so.

@ PopeBeanie
Yes, the Pepsi Center concert was very well documented both video and audio. Have you noticed that Dany is using her Fender baritone guitar more and more? A baritone in standard tuning is tuned a fourth lower than a standard guitar allowing for a growlier sound.

So live show Pepsi Center CDMX 2023 might be comparable in quality to Teatro CDMX 2022. It’ll have a whole nuther set of reactions, starting with the single song releases. People point out how they’ve matured musically over only one year. They’re releasing singles from it, and I imagine they might release the whole concert after it’s fully edited.…[Read more]

He can blame his parents, Dick and Suki, for that. I wonder if nominative determinism was at play when they were named.

Sunday School 1 year, 9 months agoRegarding Brian Cox’s collab with watchmaker IWC, I’m a big fan of mechanical (clockwork-based) watches. I always feel a little sad for someone wearing a “smart” watch.

No, idiot: It will shrink the landmass and thus the total shoreline in the world will decrease, not increase.
