    Intellectual property requires the ability to own property. In the case where AI has some measure of personhood, it’s not going to be entitled to property rights.     Declining population is, to some extent, an imaginary issue. Even if we look at Japan, halving or even quartering the population would still leave the Japanese people far from endangered in terms of numbers.
