We use the same word, pain, but my sensation is mine alone. You can’t feel it. And of course it’s true vice versa. Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoInstead of the myopic view, how about if we examine the accomplishments of Harvard Medical School alone, and gauge that against the alleviation of guilty conscience by the entitled Harvard students and staff with their flawed but inconsequential support of Palestinians.

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoThe article on consciousness gets into an area I’ve always found fascinating.
Consciousness is an illusion in the sense that our perception of the world is given to us by our brain. Is an orange orange in color out there in the world? No, because outside of a nervous system, what we call orange isn’t a color at all, it’s a wave length. In that…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoEnco, yes. The local library is here is all of that. You get a good whiff of urine as you approach gateway to literary wonders. Those who have just about given up on life have all but moved in.
I also practically lived in the library at my university when I was working on my grad degree. Thankfully I did have a home to go to when I left.

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoConservatism in older age may reflect disillusionment. Idk.
Have not read Bradbury since i was 12 or 13. Might be a good idea to order a few books and get reacquainted. If i come back and remember my prior life i may take his advice on how to become a writer.

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoYes, the god of the gaps steps in when they bring out the arguments from complexity, incredulity, and ignorance.
It tells us something, that the domicile of the gods went from the top of the mountain, then up into the clouds, them out into space and then finally some unknown supernatural realm.

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoWell shucks, the pope is dead, right after welcoming JD Vance. Here he was featuring baby Jesus wrapped in a keffiyeh. Not wrapped well enough to protect a baby from his army of pedophiles that he shuffled around the world. Or maybe he just admires the tenacity and faith of the death cult. Hard to say. If there was a hell, surely cuddles would not…[Read more]
