Almost too much there to respond to. Let’s start with this. I’ll answer more as I get time, unless you keep posting, but I see there are other posts by other people wanting to hear from me.

I’m going to set WW1 aside because I know much less about it beyond how The Great War started stupidly with a bungled assassination. We wisely…[Read more]

@Robert and Jake
Luckily for us, Muslims tend to assimilate pretty well in the U.S., able to find work, buy homes, and enjoy the American way of life about as well as Christians. Of course, like Jews and Asians, they do suffer a degree of harassment from idiots who assume every Muslim is wearing a suicide vest.
The proof of successful…[Read more]

It was mainly the elderly and people with compromised immune systems who died of Covid, and it turned out that not only didn’t vaccination save many lives among the rest of the population, but it didn’t prevent one from becoming reinfected or becoming an asymptomatic carrier, did it? Contrary to what the drug manufacturers and the CDC…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 11 months agoThe idea that cold causes more deaths over time under normal conditions is well established and is backed by solid data and rigorous analysis.
Cold weather kills 20 times as many people as hot weather, according to an international study analyzing over 74 million deaths in 384 locations across 13 countries. The findings, published…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 11 months agoAnd yet, more people die of cold than heat. I’m not sure exactly why. Perhaps people in refugee camps are counted, but it’s generally accepted that cold kills more.
Even in an apartment, if the temperature outside is subzero, sooner or later the apartment temp will equalize and the same is true of clothing. Heavy clothing can put off the…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 11 months agoAccording to a Google Sumarizer if you ask “Does cold kill more people than heat?” you get this:
…In 2019, cold temperatures killed nearly four times as many people as warm temperatures, and deaths due to moderately hot or cold weather substantially exceed those resulting from extreme heat waves or cold spells. The Institute for Health…[Read more]

It should be obvious. Arguing from analogy, if you have more cars, you’ll have more auto accidents; if you have more swimming pools, you’ll have more drownings; and if you have more guns, there will inevitably be more gun-related deaths. And that’s without regard to concentrating only on murder and mayhem.

Unseen replied to the topic Why are we still in NATO? in the forum Politics 2 years, 12 months ago
@Robert & Noel
Do you honestly believe (and I mean believe in your figurative heart and soul) that Putin could defeat a coalition of UK, France, Germany and the rest of NATO?
If so, you need to go into therapy.
They shouldn’t need us.

Humans refuse to see that we are the problematic introduced species. Though, because we are highly adaptable and resourceful, we would have sooner or later gotten to the Americas anyway, which is the argument I make regarding cats. A creature with the wild cat’s* survival skills and flexibility would have spread here eventually…[Read more]

The point is that, for many Americans, who rely on the mainstream media, many will be largely unaware that there were other candidates. When the Dem convention happens, they’ll be confused because they thought Biden had already been nominated.
