U.S.-born man held for ICE under Florida’s new anti-immigration law.
A friend of mine whose grandchildren are in a school in Az. told me that ICE agents came into the classrooms and removed “4 Mexican looking children”. They also scooped up some native American Indian children. If you wanted your children back, a parent or g…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year agoFrom Private Eye magazine:
China has pledged not to back down in its trade war with President Trump, with president Xi pledging to defend capitalism and the free market.
In a televised address to the nation, Xi rallied his people. “We will not accept the excessive tariffs of the centralized state controlled economy,” he said.
“They wish to…[Read more]

It often happens that once they have the…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year agoHave you ever talked with a hardcore MAGA?
Yes, once in Atlanta and once in PCB, Fl. The former was during the 2021 run off election when, for a few hours, it looked possible that Republican Herschel Walker could win. I was watching the crowds at the voting hall and talking to any random person that spoke to me. When I first heard Herschel…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year ago@_Robert_ I understand the sentiment. I find it increasing difficult to keep friendships with religiously minded people. It is not their faith that is the problem. I can generally ignore it. But it is how the magical thinking entwines itself into their view of the world. Once they have fallen for the “Great Overarching Delusion” (GOD)* they end…[Read more]
