Something else, maybe the Corona virus, will be the top of the food chain before Homo sapiens designs vehicles for the journey.

What fun, when I was tutoring, to say people have to tell computers what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and when to stop doing it, so they are dumb but fast.

@Unseen for Davis: “Technically. Grammar Nazi.”
Yes to both.
Attack if you must, but with clean hands. Or be attacked or ignored.

@Davis: “Your post above sounds like a snake oil pitch if I ever heard one.”
Or should that be, “Your post above reads like a snake oil pitch if I ever read one.”

To vegans:
1. When you pick, i.e. an apple, does the tree or the apple feel pain?
2. When you bite into a freshly-picked, i.e. apple, does it feel pain?
Your evidence, please.

@Ivy, re “I think we had [a democracy]. But not since 2016.
A few people making laws (w/ or w/o many breaking laws) has always been oligarchy.
Further, with SCOTUS saying money is speech, the USA is a plutocratic oligarchy.
Cheers.

Hey, folks, we Yanks are exploring EVERY STINKING NOOK AND CRANNY OF WHAT the Supreme Court’s long-ago Justice Holmes called the marketplace of ideas.
No previous president has ever had the imagination to require us to do that, so Trump is furthering our educations.

I live in one of the eighteen states in which American voters can use the direct initiative to circumvent the plutocratic and oligarchic major parties and occasionally do so. In the other states, the voting prey elect their predators.

Ivy, at 88 years, five months and 17 days, I’m a lifelong learner.
IMO, education is worth multiple damns but books are one of many sources.
If you’re bored, try politics. It’s personal relationships of a rather intense kind.

PB, religiousness or religiosity?
Didn’t the misinformation always exist? The press and later the web told people it existed.

Reg, I scrolled down the Home Page list and found a post by you that starts with “I have previously debunked….”
I counted 25 posts but before you see this post, posts or deletions by others may alter the count.

Reg, TA’s computer may have those posts but I won’t request a search. They might disclose that rather than replying to the arguments you supplied, I pointed to evidence for the EU.

PB, not crazy, but wordy and not describing the hardball politics I have played.
In Wikipedia, search on Don Bolles (the reporter, not the musician) and you will see some of that hardball.
