I don’t care about auto tune. At least it’s a human voice. I’m interested in music because of the people involved, their stories and I how can hear those stories in the music. When Robert Johnson sold his soul at the crossroads to play guitar. The day the music died in a plane crash and good ole boys were drinking whisk and rye. When the Beatles…[Read more]

Music is interesting because of musicians. And well AI just doesn’t have that. And yet, even “real” musicians are faking it as the Wings of Pegasus guy is exposing it. I’m referring to artists who lip sync live and others who abuse Autotune.

Spotify is full of AI generated music and fake “artists” already. They had to limit the number of songs that get uploaded per day per account. For years now many people in the music business are now called “recording artists” because they can’t even call themselves musicians. They couldn’t play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” to save their lives. But as…[Read more]

Well, I suppose that humans asking AI the right questions will help humans to do research.

When I am having a debate with AI, it is very easy to feel like I am actually in a conversation with a conscious being. I was asking it if it was possible that exploring the collapse of the Wave function could help with a solution in linking the quantum world with the Copenhagen Interpretation. A possible solution in moving from indeterminism to a…[Read more]

AI doesn’t know what to ask.
Exactly. It is not ‘conscious”.

LOL, good one Unseen. Using human shields against HAMAS, LOL. This is so fucking stupid, as if HAMAS would give a damn who they kill. CNN forgot that HAMAS is in the martyr business. It’s like the MAGA/Trump/Nazi playbook. Just accuse your enemies of exactly what you are doing.
Well, Gaza is a pile of rubble. How is that ‘river to the sea’…[Read more]

A bit of an aside, but I had a 2 year experience with clinical depression, but never toyed with the idea of suicide. It more or less coincided with unwisely getting involved with an unhappily married woman. I hoped she would leave her situation for me, and I tried to steer her in that direction. She had a habit of cutting the relation off but…[Read more]

I thought about suicide in only one period of time, back when I was suffering from social anxiety so badly that I stopped going to work, and depression set in. The day I drove out to jump off a cliff (literally) became a comedy of errors, getting a random flat tire on the way, during a miserable rainstorm. I.e. I couldn’t even get to the cliff,…[Read more]

@unseen, have you thought about what you might want to say to Pau, if it ever seemed like she’s deeply troubled by the prospect of death? About Paulina, and reflecting on Breathe, mentioned in your first post. For other readers, too. The recording’s been played when the band’s offstage during intermission. She finally played and sang it live at the Pepsi 2023 concert, for the first time. I thought she was unable to finish it, before realizing only today, it’s a very short song.
