Sunday School 2 years agoDam, I missed Atheist Day. (I hadn’t even heard of it).
I had heard of it but completely forgotten about it. Hence my comment about herding cats……which is generally easier to do than getting atheists organized for a meet-up 🙂
A reminder, just so we don’t miss it: International Blasphemy Day is Sept. 30, 2024. I celebrate it every year…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years ago@Enco – Good to hear you have made inroads into your recovery. Rhabdomyolysis is not a condition I have much knowledge of but it does sound like it can be life altering, at least until it is properly managed. I think it is disgraceful the way that pharmaceutical based medicine is run as an industry. In Ireland Ozempic is readily available to…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years agoJune 6th was Atheist Pride Day! I was spending the day herding cats until I heard that Jesus died with an erection and spent the rest of the day making up bad puns about it.

I was in a bar once when a very well dressed and attractive woman came in. She sat at the bar and ordered a coffee and began reading a book. I noticed it was Anna Karenina which I thought very strange to be reading in a bar. Within 10 minutes 2 guys hit on her. She politely shot down their advances. As I wasn’t drinking alcohol I ordered a second…[Read more]

“And here is the point, about myself and my co-thinkers. Our belief is not a belief. Our principles are not a faith. We do not rely solely upon science and reason, because these are necessary rather than sufficient factors, but we distrust anything that contradicts science or outrages reason. We may differ on many things, b…[Read more]

What we need is a Minister for Men’s Behavior. That will solve everything. Why did Monty Python never think of this?

Some people (I’m one) thrive on being alone.
I deliberately live on my own. I enjoy my own company and it is never boring. Just today someone said to me that she would not be able to spend a weekend on her own. I thought to myself that I probably could not spend an entire weekend with someone like that. What is it about your own company that y…[Read more]

I listened to the wish list between 4.00 and 6.00 minutes and thought “Not a chance girl”, then I noticed the logo in the middle. Leave a message at the beep and you might get lucky 🙂
