Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoShe: I am not really religious but I am very spiritual.
Me: But is that enough? Really, is it? Just how not religious are you? How much more is very spiritual to just being regular spiritual? Is there training involved?
She: Huh??

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoIf The Big Bang took place 13.8 Billion years ago, and the radius of the known Universe is around 46 Billion Light Years, wouldn’t the matter at the edge of that radius had to have travelled from The Big Bang at faster than the speed of light if the matter at the radius came from The Big Bang, an obvious violation of Einsteinian physics?
That i…[Read more]

Tipping my hat to Ambrose Bierce and the Devil’s Dictionary, a book I have enjoyed dipping into for half an entuary (which means a long time, no C). With wit sharper than a bishop’s hat on laundry day.

A country can threaten tariffs and talk tough when it is owed money. When it owes money, that’s a different story.
We are heading into a trade war. That’s what the United States wants and that’s what the world will get.

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoI will start by saying that I would be in the Sean Carroll camp on this. One foot might cross over to the Christof Koch side at times, but only to hear him out and to think upon his ideas. I have a lot of respect for Koch and was fortunate to attend a few of his lectures over the years. But my instinct has been to step back into Camp Carroll and…[Read more]

Rashers: Sliced bacon, typically from the back or side of the pig, common in Ireland and the UK. Leaner than American streaky bacon.
Streaky bacon: Comes from pork belly, very fatty, common in the U.S.
Both are processed meats that are salted, cured, and often smoked. The WHO classifies processed meat (like bacon, ham, sausages) as a Group 1…[Read more]

I eat PB&J’s on a regular basis. I consider them a treat with a cup (or mug!) of spiced tea, (Masala Chai). At least 3 times a week. It is a balanced meal. My preference is for smooth PB.

Sunday School 1 year, 3 months agoThe problems with news media started with the loss of local newspapers. . Many areas had 2 or more regular papers with opposing views. Local reporters kept local politicians and officials in check. In the last 20 years most of these have fallen victim to the mega corporations and local politicians “get away with more”. These “news deserts” were…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 3 months agoYes, it has nothing to do with land. It is just the indoctrinated hatred of Jews by the poisoned minds of Islamist’s that is the problem. In the article I posted above about measles “that made me angry and sad”, the mother meets with RFK after her child dies from measles. A totally preventable death but she does not see that. She is still on “Team…[Read more]
