Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoThe phrasing of the questions about religion can be problematic as is where on the census they are placed in order not to “prime” people for answers. I have had complaints from teenagers in the past about how their parents compile the form on their behalf and just tick the “Catholic” box.
I also know several people who profess to be Catholic but…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoWe had a website in Ireland called “Count Me out” so people could easily defect. It gained so much traction that the Church changed Canon Law as they need to keep their numbers up.
Atheist Ireland are still on the case. I am looking forward to seeing the results of the 2022 Census on religious
afflictionaffiliation in Ireland. It was Covid…[Read more] -

I can’t prove any of those politicians has sexual relations with barnyard animals, I just want to hear them denying it.

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoYes, I would agree that, in general, windmills are not “green“. I really only mentioned them with respect to the imaginary giants that many conservatives tend to conjure up so that they can then slay them and talk about they fight we need to engage in to make them go away. They make issues up where none exist and then defend their voters from t…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoBut I’ve definitely seen a lot of Conservatives getting some returns and glory as they bravely stand up to their own imaginations..
Neat phrase and I agree with it. They can’t tell the difference between the giants of their imaginations and windmills…..it has been reported that “They say that windmills cause cancer”. A great many people are sa…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoLike it says on my messaging service “Leave a message and you might get lucky” 🙂
But for the virtue flashers I would ask them not to do it in public no matter how excited their signaling makes them. They should just get a grip and pull together as a team. I would of course sweet talk those flashy peacocks about the handicap principle.

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoI have no problem with the genuinely “woke” when it comes to finding solutions to social inequities and removing any legal forms of discrimination. But the “virtue signalers” are a different breed. I will stir any pot just to set them off on a rant. Leave ’em to me.

HELL EXPLAINED BY A CHEMISTRY STUDENT
The following is an actual question given on a University of Arizona chemistry mid term, and an actual answer turned in by a student.
The answer by one student was so ‘profound’ that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now…[Read more] -

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoI only got the jab today as I only became eligible for it this week. I do manage a few hospital IT networks but I can do almost all of it remotely. I have worked from home for years and only travel to site if I have to. But I would have been first in line if the chance was there. I was going to work remotely from Florida and would be fully vaxed…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month ago@Robert – You can’t call it a victory until the vast majority of people are vaccinated, so yes, it is way too early. The new India variant is a serious threat. I hope it does not result in another lock-down in the UK. My family were in Florida about 4 months ago and nobody in a busy Publix was wearing a mask while back up in Atlanta almost eve…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoThanks Unseen, yes Hubble only has B&W cameras because there is very little color in space (except for our Pale Blue Dot). The color is added after the photos are received and based upon the frequency of the electromagnetic wavelengths of the light. We use the same principle to determine the tiny differences in temperature in the CMBR photo or…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month agoJust got my first jab today. Very efficient rollout operation. We are making very good progress now. An hour after I got it I noticed I had to remind myself that I got it. Simple and painless.
I must say that I think Bill Gates is a very nice man. A great man even! Now I must figure out where I got all these magnets from.

Sunday School 5 years, 2 months agoAndrew Sveda’s argument is a reworking of a common one. An initial cursory read showed some major flaws.
The question itself is flawed. Sveda has presupposed that “God” exists. If he had asked “Does a god exist” or “Do any gods” exist he would have a stronger foundation to argue from.
If he wants us to debate with him about the existence of…[Read more]
