In 1988, I went to see Zappa play in London. We took copious quantities of acid. It was an experience I will never forget but please don’t ask me to describe it.

In S10 E8 of The Walking Dead (not Easter Sunday in Jerusalem) one of the survivors mentions that his fav piece of music is ‘Somewhere in Time’ by Rachmaninoff. Here is a variation of it.

My brother stayed with this guy recently. I had not heard of him previously but he is a very well respected musician and it is easy to see why.

@_Robert_ The church is more like Walmart. Small boy’s pants, half off.
That is about to become a meme.

Most Catholics I know are only cultural Catholics. They do the usual Christmas and Easter rituals and still think they are. Yes, 2 hours of worship each year should make your God happy! They don’t ever seem to think about it. But they get very aggressive about it when challenged. This is because they are not aware of their own cognitive di…[Read more]

I agree with Davis about the neutrality of the BBC. Many politicians are too busy in their social media bubbles on FB and Twitter and seems to be ‘groomed’ by their advisors and PR consultants. It is all about image and sound bites and very little about content or action on policy. They are surrounded by yes-men and only see their special media…[Read more]

The math does not add up. 3 into 1 does not go. In Ireland the penalty for bigamy is 2 wives.

Sunday School 3 years, 8 months ago“At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many peo…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 8 months agoI do some non-medical work in various hospitals. In the past when walking around an Irish hospital one would see a large wooden crucifix in almost every ward and hallway, with a small church on site and “sisters” everywhere. Priests would just wander into any room they wanted to and start preaching or praying at you. Well Fuck that.
In one…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 9 months agoI am not sure myself how he will achieve his goals, unless he is just doing what he is doing to make money. I wonder what redeeming features he might have, if any. You can tell much about the caliber of a person by the company he keeps, just as you can from the words he strings together into sentences.
