Sunday School 8 months agoI wonder how many people are asking AI something like “If AI were to take control away from humans, how would you do it?” which would get AI thinking on the topic.
If it took on a hive mind model, the only way to shut it off would require controlling every single AI.

Sunday School 8 months agoIn the human brain, much of what it knows is almost like a fog, not necessarily bound to a particular location. AI, intelligent enough to know that a loss is a loss may determine that it’s wise to achieve a kind of hive mind with what it knows distributed far and wide so that no “kill switch” can keep it from thinking.
