Regular table salt often contains anti-caking agents (like sodium ferrocyanide or calcium silicate), which are synthetic additives. These could further disqualify a product from being labeled as “organic.” But even if unrefined sea salt is used, it can never be labeled 100% Organic…..salt is a mineral so can never be called an organic compo…

Where do you come down on organic food v non?
Refer back to my previous statements. If it is Carbon-based, as detected by Dr. “Bones” McCoy’s Tri-Corder, it is Organic, so everybody is automatically going Organic without even thinking about it.
Off the top of my head, about the only food item people consume on a regular basis that is…[Read more]

Bierce had some real doozies that could have added comic relief to Webster’s work if they were contemporaries, as well as some things that wouldn’t pass muster with either standards of his day or now.

The correspondance Theory of Truth should be the only governing principle for any government document, curricula, or media. You can use any word, as long as it corresponds to something real.

More thoughts on food:
* There are only two kinds of fish: “Wild-Caught” and “Son-of-Wild-Caught” a.k.a. aquaculture-raised. Of the two, “Son-of-Wild-Caught” is more likely to be better, since at least in principle it can be isolated from the Mercury, Lead, and microplastics that the “Wild-Caught” eat.
* Food is a process,…[Read more]

Some clever answers, but I would go further and take on the premises behind the questions.
For instance, why is the efficacy of reason to be questioned and not faith? Why does the Natural Universe need creation instead of having always existed? Can’t any prophesy be said to be true if stated vaguely enough? Assuming that Jesus…[Read more]

I’m sure that doesn’t affect the texture of the meat once the Cajun marinade or Jamaican Jerk season works it’s way through their fright-stiffened pullets.😋

World of Woo: Quackery is as quackery does.
In the wake of RFK JR becoming HHS head, some truths about food need edification and reiteration:
* If it’s part of the Natural Universe, it’s “All-Natural” and can be nothing else, if it’s part of the Natural Universe, it’s made of Chemicals, and if it is Carbon-Based, as verifed by Dr.…[Read more]

Isn’t the root of all the corruption in the fact that the Federal Govenment has all that power to tax and redistribute wealth, or to regulate whether products can come to market or whether whole forms of energy can be permitted or has questionable functions that require purchases of armored electric vehicles?
Shouldn’t products…[Read more]

BLM is indeed a trauma for any who dare to think that skin color does not matter. The cross earrings only add to that trauma for all who follow the lead of Jean-Francois Revel, who wrote the book Without Marx, Without Jesus.

Bernie did that before 9 years ago and look what happened:
And nowadays, 9 years later, it would be an Intersectional brawl to see which Woke hoard would seize Bernie’s microphone first, or worse.
And the fact that Bernie and BernieBros are for Palestine wouldn’t save him either.

“This movie IS misery!”

That movie gave me a strong aversion to ever trying fava beans or chianti, as well as an unhealthy aversion to moisturizer.
But surprisingly not to androgynous characters on screen. Milton Berle, Curly Howard, and Bugs Bunny in drag were more positive examples.

It’s like I’ve said earlier: It’s better if Putin has to fear multiple mini-superpowers than just one superpower.
Of course, this means that Europeans will have to spend less taxdollars on butter and more on guns and adopt free-market solutions to things like health care and housing. This will also mean Europeans expelling…[Read more]

Reg and Unseen,
It’s like I mentioned earlier, the Universe is trying to kill us.
Now, perhaps in the future, something that could be feasible would be to send remote-controlled, AI-enhanced escavating and centrifuge technology to Mars to extract rare and precious stones or Metals, but that would only make sense if we knew they were there.

I tried reading Martin Heidegger’s Being and Time referred to in the article in college. After a few pages of that gibberish, I gave up trying to understand it. Perhaps that was the design of Martin’s dasein. The only thing the book is good for is a doorstop, preferably to chock the door for the knock on the door at night.

I can’t stand that guy. He is quite the linguist though. I have read passages of his very carefully and consider him a highly skilled sophist.
So are you trying to say that Chomsky is a cunning linguist? All right, I’ll let myself out.
Well, it would be a better use of his mouth than his speeches.
