Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoI think the writer is “tilting at windmills” and is arguing a point that does not need to be made. It could even be deemed a “strawman argument”. Her critique seems aimed more at an imagined “scientific arrogance” than at how science is genuinely practiced. Very few scientists claim perfect objectivity; rather, they emphasize the method as t…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoFrom the above linked article…..Trump is wreaking havoc, much of it irreparable, and he has three and a half more years — at a minimum — to continue his wrecking-ball presidency. The disunity of the opposition has enabled Trump to proceed without the public fully understanding the range and scope of his destruction. Every day Trump sows con…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoYes, it turns out that four legs are good but two legs are better. At least now that the pigs have been found walking on two legs. I was confused too. But when I checked with the Ministry of Truth, I discovered that pigs have always walked in this manner. I was mistaken in my thinking that they ever walked on four. The Leader is good.

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoYes, I would agree with you Strega and I now have Sky News back on my watch list. Overall the BBC is still very good so when they are biased it is really noticeable. I enjoy Question Time and I have no problem hearing diverse opinions in such a setting, especially as the host is normally very good at moderating the discussions. But the news…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoThe Asserson Report (Sept 2024) based on analysis of 9 million words, alleges the BBC violated its own editorial guidelines over 1,500 times, showing a bias against Israel—inclining towards Palestinian perspectives, portraying Israel as aggressive, downplaying Hamas terrorism. Report is here.
I have noticed that many “mainstream media” out…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoYo Strega, you’re welcome, been rhyming since a kid,
Droppin’ playground bars, yeah I always knew you did.
Now we grown, still flowin’, keep the rhythm alive,
Every line you spit got the crowd doin’ high fives. But wait—hold up! I need my Nobel Prize,
For these beats so sick, got the world hypnotized.
Give it now, I said! (boom-boom, drum rol…[Read more] -

Two nogoodniks rollin’, think they legends in suits,

Talkin’ big futures while the present’s pure hell.

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoBoth MAGA and Anti-MAGA think in group-oriented ways. The Anti-MAGA espouse racial, ethnic, sexual, gender and class identity politics and the MAGA react with their own brand of identity politics. And both assume their desired group identity has monolithic interests and both tolerate no dissent.
Enco, that’s a good depiction of where it’s at. Nei…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 4 weeks agoI think Bill Maher mentioned this recently. It may have been a different family. But a similar event. A family found Arizona to be “too woke” so they moved to Texas, only to find it was just not conservative enough for them. So they sold everything and
gave their money to the poormoved to Russia. WTF! -

Random Posts 9 months, 4 weeks agoBack in 2006, Harvard cardiologist Herbert Benson led what was then the biggest-ever study of prayer’s effect on health. Funded by the Templeton Foundation — who were quietly praying it would turn out differently — the trial looked at over 1,800 heart bypass patients. Some were told they were being prayed for, some weren’t, and a whole lot of peop…[Read more]
