If the livability of Earth ever approaches the quality of conditions on Mars, humans are probably all long gone already.

Politics 1 year, 1 month agoHere’s the best layout of a presentation I’ve seen in a long time, especially from a politician. What Trump & Company has is doing must be more corrupt, even openly corrupt than any president in history.
@Reg, if you were considering adding this video to Sunday School, I will (or you can) steer readers to it, below.
@Enco, I’d love to hear your…[Read more]

It was just two grown men being goofy on a Friday afternoon. We were planning an Oscar winning comedy about how rumours start and things quickly get out of control. The event is true but it is unlikely that ‘The Night of the Bumble Bee’ will make it to the big screen.
My client is involved in the movie industry.

In the spirit of “There’s no such thing as as stupid question…is there?”…
I’m not sure what you were getting at there. I think I was supposed to find it amusing, but I guess there are some bits of knowledge I’m lacking. Please explain.

If his Wisconsin rally is any indication, as a certain musician would say, “The times they are a-changin’.” Go, Bernie!
I don’t think Bernie Bros were ever much of a thing if they existed at all. In a country the size of the U.S., you can find a few people who believe just about anything.
By the same token, there may be a vocal cadre of…[Read more]

@strega, I agree with you on ‘Fracture’. It has a clever plot with a decent twist to it. He is one of those actors you are compelled to focus on, whatever his role in any specific scene is, even when he is silent.Yeah, that was a good one. Kinda like a modern, upscale “Colombo” episode.

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoBernie is my favorite politician right now. Wants to tax the wealthy more and redistribute. Well, we been going the other way for decades, so we can use more of that. Now Trump and Musk are aiming to finish the job. The super greedy top 5% have 2/3rds of the stack and are growing it every day.

I’ve believed for years that current plans to colonize Mars can’t work, but I won’t say that it will never be possible. If/when we can unlock unlimited energy, say with fusion, there is no limit to moving large payloads great distances, and maybe even one of Elon’s kids can send a fusion reactor and a boring machine to get things started…[Read more]

@Unseen – The bee population depleted due to the blocking of UV light while the cockroach population exploded.
I was on a client site yesterday. A department manager recently brought in 2 bee hives to the large green area behind their building. It is part of a “green initiative” for businesses. We were talking about “how rumors spread within a…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoThe GOP has been telling its congress(wo)men NOT to hold public town halls for now because of the hostility they get from angry constituents and either not do them at all or move online where interactions can be better managed.
This opens up an opportunity for Democrats to hold their own “open to everyone no matter what party” town halls. Bernie…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoTrump is learning the hard way that when you try to force people to do things, you are actually giving them an opportunity to go to a Plan B.
