Well i can’t argue Enco. You were present to assess the spirit of the comment.
I was tempted to tell him to “consider the lillies” or to go get his carob and locust from the wilderness.

The Zombies I refer to are not the 60’s British Invasion band. The crisis in Little Rock predated them. I’m referring to undead things in human form who travel in hoards and prey on real humans with brains.
The mobs in Little Rock met that description. The mobs on campuses today are little different. An armed escort for the would-be…[Read more]

Whataboutism is a Fallacy, but What-it-is-ism is never.
And “Sleepy Joe” is used more than just by MAGA. It’s really too generous, because it assumes Biden has the sentience to need sleep.
If Trump being dictatorial, let the Courts declare the statue Unconstitutional instead of just ruling on it this one instance, and let Congress have…[Read more]

The Good Friday remark was not good natured humor. This old Christian asshole was proclaiming the store and it’s employees should work for free for him…in a store that has gone for years without a bonus because of looting.
And I never drag my feet on getting jerks like the examples you cited out the door and away from me.

Deporting Citizens to a place where they couldn’t exercise right to counsel or due process would be Unconstitutional. But not non-Citizens.
And if the 1952 law giving the Secretary of State power to deport for foreign policy reasons is Uncontitutional, wasn’t it so under every subsequent President including Obama or Sleepy Joe? Where…[Read more]

Enco,
It aint that bad. Living among theists who posit every form of mythology from the ahistorical scapegoating of Israel mythology to the good place/bad place for immortals decided by a guy with a white beard who is watching us every second along with the endless homilies and worthless religious prattle ya just roll with the punches.…

Which non-citizen is running for public office? (strawman?).
I point this out to further emphasize that non-Citizens don’t have the same legal privileges as Citizens.

I hate to point out something so obvious, but there is a basis for comparison. No due process. While some may actually be fugitives or prison escapees, in America, we don’t deport people based on looking Mexican, being Spanish speakers unable to speak English, having any kind of tattoos, wearing a baseball cap backward, anonymous a…

Something has been frosting me all day:
When I came into work earlier and rang up my first customer, after I finished, he jokingly said: “I don’t have to pay”, evidently a lame attempt to get a smile from me. The man next to him in line said: “Welp, if it’s Good Friday, it oughtta be free!”
I guees some people think Jesus…[Read more]

If someone is here illegally or does something to break conditions of their visa, due process and rights clearly doesn’t mean a right to stay.

When someone enters America, they are subject to American law just like a citizen. If a tourist gets a speeding ticket, he has the due process right to show up in court and dispute it, just like a native citizen.
If the person is here illegally, the outcome of the ruling might not be to the person’s liking.
The only basis Trump has…

The text of the 14th Amendment reads: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” That is what makes what happened in Arizona so aggregious. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, however, is neither a natural-born Citizen nor a naturalized Citizen. That’s the sticky wicket.
Fret not, the anti-abortion…[Read more]

Well, the Judge is just as presumptuous as Trump if he thinks the U.S. justice system applies to El Salvador.
And if anyone wants poster boys against Trump, they’ve picked some shitty ones with members of Hamas, MS-13, and Tren de Aragua.

I sensed as much. However, MAD Magazine shuttered it’s doors in 2019, doubtless because it’s absurdity hit too close to real life.

From Private Eye magazine:
China has pledged not to back down in its trade war with President Trump, with president Xi pledging to defend capitalism and the free market.
In a televised address to the nation, Xi rallied his people. “We will not accept the excessive tariffs of the centralized state controlled economy,” he said.
“They wish…

What is this in reference to?

We need to start planning for a world where many citizens won’t have jobs but somehow aren’t destitute. Not having a traditional job doesn’t necessarily mean sitting on the couch eating bon-bons and watching TV. I, for example, don’t have a job but am active all day long.
The alternative would seem to be walled cities with people with jo…

I heard this story snippet below on the radio the other night going home from work. It’s yet one more reason why you can’t place trust in “watchdogs” patrolling for Misinformation/Disinformation/Malinformation (MDM 🦁 *Growl!*)
The BBC just completely nonchalantly, without a hint of a suppressed giggle, put out a story about…[Read more]
