We’ve both said we like the skeptical reactors who seem surprised when they finally listen after being pestered by commenters. I’m slightly disappointed in the reactor’s video above, because of the spoilers he drops in the beginning, including a preview from what he’s about to play in full. I would have skipped the first four minutes to here, for…[Read more]

As teenager I’ve heard the terms ‘Torch Song’ and ‘Torch Singer’ but didn’t know what they meant. I didn’t recognize anything I was familiar with in those terms. Music Lovers 2 years, 4 months agoI’ve already posted elsewhere the second video that’s below. But I want to showcase how PMJ, as PMJ typically does, can ingeniously rearrange a famous song, and add fantastic talent and humor to the set as well.
First, the original song. It has over 2-1/2 billion views so far:
Now the PMJ rearrangement, with two of…[Read more]

I would feel the same way sometimes, if I hadn’t watched the original version first. In this case, I’ve heard the Puddles/PMJ version so many times, a…[Read more]

Do you want the music or someone else’s reaction to the music?Either’s fine. I’m just hoping for some explanation of why it’s extra-special to you and consistently at the very top of your list. It can be written by you and/or verbalized by a reactor made available with a link.

I hope to keep this topic sacred in terms of presenting only our absolutely favorite music. Your criteria may vary, but…[Read more]

I agree, there is a window, say 1 or 2 pints where it can be easier to understand, but once you get past three and especially past 6, I find the slurred speech and reverting to local dialect makes it pretty tough to understand. Following a drunk man in a bar in Glasgow (or in my experience in a Pub in county Kerry) was so impossible I just nodded…[Read more]

Defo Scottish. Sounds like a Southern Highland’s accent but has lived in the central belt (between Glasgow and Edinburgh). Or the other way around. Could be wrong. It’s not particularly strong. By this I mean, completely understandable without strain or effort. Had a plumber in from Glasgow last year, I had to ask him to repeat himself three times…[Read more]

I’m just observing right now, trying to figure out if there’s a way to show the virtues of tolerance. E.g. on youtube where anti-woke and anti-left are now surges of hatefests, pandered to by politicians seeking re-election opportunities.
Unfortunately, neither Bing’s AI or ChatGPT were willing to draw me an image of Satan and Trump shaking…[Read more]

This reactor talks about how to place TW in the musical categories of rock, pop, punk, and metal. I like another reactor because of his knowledge of some music, and his strong opinions about it. I never liked Atlas Rise, but I can appreciate a musician or band when they have the skill and tenacity to accomplish a good performance. Atlas Rise is a tough piece! TW pulls it off wonderfully. This guy can say it better than I can.

How does belief/disbelief in free will affect behavior? Well, belief in free will promotes all kinds of misbehavior.Wow! But that’s only half the story. The way I’d put it, belief in free will promotes all kinds of behavior, acting as though we have it. “For better and for worse”, if one must place values on behaviors.

I don’t want to critique much, especially when I can’t predict the direction they’re going. Quinn sounded pretty nervous to me in Evolve.
But she had much more in control for Breathe. So we know she has great singing ability. Recording-wise, it sounds like her mic was either not on, or it was way too low in the mix. I think the mic recording the…[Read more]
