Sunday School 10 months, 3 weeks agoI ridicule my efforts to get a fly out of the kitchen alive.
I opened the back door fully, you stoopid fly…and the front window too! Can you not see the gaps with the most light? The one you just entered through? The stray cats stare at me. Earn your keep you lazy band of…..ah, ok he’s gone. Buzz……Arrgh! your brother stayed behind!! T…[Read more]

Sunday School 10 months, 3 weeks ago“Murder is wrong”. You are presenting this as a choice. We choose not to murder because it’s wrong.
But that’s not what stops us from randomly killing annoying people. We don’t think “I want to throttle you but I’d better not because it’s wrong”.
I mock myself for my revulsion of killing. I ridicule my efforts to get a fl…[Read more]

If “nobody is home” and we are just “acted on” as opposed to also acting back, then how do you propose we can “create positive influences and minimize negative influences?”. Ever heard of self-awareness?
And just who is the proposed target audience for your proposed novel about Lesbrews? It won’t fly with the Abrahamic crowds who be…[Read more]

Sunday School 10 months, 3 weeks agoWhat Trump’s new religion memo for federal workers means.
Religious misogynists claim that women should not have the right to vote.
The IRS says churches can now endorse candidates. That could give Texas pastors more power than ever.
So far, only 21 people have fallen ill after consuming raw milk.

Yes, there are numerous sources of good data and methods to do this. I used to be involved in economic forecasting for a university “thinktank” in a previous career. Individual States can offer labor rates from jobless claims and job openings from Linkedin etc. MasterCard and Bank of America track credit card spending. The varied sources allo…[Read more]

The worst thing that Trump did was to fire Erika McEntarfer as commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The damage to the reputation of the trustworthiness of US economic data, used by financial forecast organizations around the world, is now undermined, thanks to the guy who insists he is 6’3’’ and weighs 215…….

Sunday School 10 months, 3 weeks agoMeant to write how easy it is to condemn the horrific unspeakable acts and either write the perpetrators off as evil MOFOs or be a retarded lefty and say meh it is cultural relativism and so everything goes.
Instead we need to change perspective and understand the reality of NOBODY IS HOME. We are acted on. So lets do what we can to create…[Read more]

Wannabee authoritarians can “take over” institutions by corrupting them first, then claim it’s proof that they need to eliminate or rebuild them. It’s a wrecking ball approach.
E.g. usurping the authority of well trained and dedicated experts in the field of medicine. Obviously there are a lot more examples of this in…[Read more]

I build several Windows laptops and PC’s each month. I use USB boot disks with all the latest updates and software on them and all the bloatware from Windows removed. Average time to get ready for clients is 12 minutes each and I do 5 at a time. So usually takes about 30 minutes to unbox, build and re-box, all 5, ready to use.

@Unseen – You should be able to recover everything from your laptop. DM me the make (HP, Lenovo, Dell) and the s/n. If it has an SSD or an M2, all you need is a cable and a screwdriver…..and you can connect it to the Chromebook. Most of the time the hard disk is fully recoverable. Even if it is dead, I can still recover data from it.

About 7 years ago I replaced a MAC with a Windows pc for a client. The Windows pc died last month. While waiting for the new pc to be setup, I discovered the MAC was still in storage in a back room. I powered it on and it worked first time. Good enough to log into email online and print. I checked the s/n and it is almost 17 years old. The s…[Read more]

Sunday School 10 months, 3 weeks agoEnco,
My goals would not require on point parallel history. J. Swift comes to mind. Just enough to recognize the parallels and the gross injustice and absurdity of it all.
I was thinking of a few things to address that issue cuz as an author ya need suspension of disbelief. One way would be a Margaret Mead take one for the team right of…[Read more]
