If corruption in government is the issue, I just don’t see Putin as a hero hoping or intending to get rid of it.

@ Robert This attack was a long time coming. It’s been fueled by ongoing abuse of Palestinians, treating them inhumanely as subjects rather than citizens. Robert, your casual inhumanity towards civilians is really sickening. If it was wrong for militants to indiscriminately attack Israeli civilians, it is wrong for Israel to murder over a thousand civilians in anything but precision attacks against militants. It was wrong to firebomb Germans in Dresden, it was wrong to nuke Japan twice and it was…[Read more]

I haven’t watched the video (sorry it is way too long). I simply don’t see any massacre of civilians as being justifiably provoked. There is always the option of military targets.
If you start justifying murdering civilians per being provoked, you could justify the Israeli army’s current daily murdering of totally innocent bystanders in their…[Read more]

@Unseen I ran into a Modern Life for the 70’s Mind reaction to Hi Ren (also see above), and watched. Good tip, to just skip the narrative on Bob’s personal life.
At the end of the review he picked up on how the camera recording changed to human-held, making it feel more real, at the most personal moment. The opera singer (above) also pointed this…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 7 months agoThanks Jake. I was going to say that to address the overarching issue, I think fixing the health system would have massive positive repercussions inasmuch as medical liability insurances and workers comp stuff would be a fraction of what they are now, and a huge fear block would be lifted.
Then I think tackling the gun issues might be a viable…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 7 months agoIt seems to me that guns are a part of a wider issue, which is that you can control people when a) they live in fear, and b) they’re indoctrinated with obedience.
We get the obedience indoctrination from the religions; enough said there.
The fear is created by a combination of health insecurity, financial shortages, and cultivated negativity t…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 years, 7 months agoEnco, one guy, who wasn’t wearing a neck guard, died. It is being thoroughly investigated, and ALREADY my ice hockey team (just last night) mandated neck guards and being more careful while skating and a review of other equipment. Sunday School 2 years, 7 months agoUnseen,
The problem is that it’s unbelievable that the guns are used anywhere near as often for that purpose. Do you mean like the guy who didn’t like your lane change and pointed his gun at the other person along with silently mouthing “POW!!!”
Only the morally-inverted and deranged would consider that to be self-defense.First of all, part of…[Read more]

I knew Cream was special, but didn’t get deep into them. Even less so for Rush. I might still get into those rabbit holes. I appreciate three piece bands more now. I’m avoiding Muse and other super-skilled bands, even Polyphia, as talented as they are, I listen in awe to the mechanics, but while feeling the music less.
I like this voice-focused…[Read more]

Robert, you are, genuinely verging into the territory of islamophobia. You are in that grey zone now, closer to Islamophobia than not. No one here on this site, condones the destructive forces of religion, Islam is by no means, any exception.
