[Longer post than I expected, as usual. You can skip my examples of what’s NOT “intertwined”. I’ll put those parts in their own, gray quote blocks so you can easily skip them. Can’t believe I hadn’t thought of intertwined evolutionary tracks before, and google doesn’t show any search results for it. There’s probably another phrase like it that’s…[Read more]

Sex agnostic public restrooms. It’s not perfect and might not work in some areas, but I think it’s better overall in some areas/institutions for a start. If two restrooms nearby, maybe one could be for parents and children? It’s difficult to enforce, in any case. Took my young daughters (maybe 4 and 6 years old?) to a KOA in Oregon (without Mom)…[Read more]

So what company will ever pay women to raise children?
Even when raising kids is purported to be a choice, things can happen later that leave mothers stranded, so should they also be expected, with no backup from a workplace, to take the risk of having to raise kids after unforeseen circumstances?
It is society’s responsibility to make child…[Read more]

Nope, I’s wrong, it shouldn’t have an “e”.
It is a rare treat to get to proofread a post from Unseen!
I’m still wrong. Should be “axoloti”! (Who makes these rules, anyway?)

In general I don’t like to play the strident criticizer, but since stridency and lack of focus on useful or interesting atheism-related content seems to be the main theme of this video, I have to ask, is this really the best example of what you do on Discourse?
There was something near the beginning about sophos, and a requirement to bring…[Read more]

So it sounds like a pulling of the plug due to lack of funds, but imo pulled off somewhat spitefully. Twitter addresses cost no money, so what reason is there to just abandon it? Which is what made me wonder if some other party hacked the AN org.
Just my wild guesses, since I was not following anything that was going on there.
Thanks again, Jade. 🙂

Was just going there for a random reason and see that it no longer exists per DNS system (i.e. just get a “404” error). Also, @atheistnexus on twitter no longer exists, and some other place I looked for them they’re gone. The domain name’s not expired at GoDaddy.
Very strange. Google doesn’t help except to show cached pages. Couldn’t find any…[Read more]

IMO humans invented a God that may or may not intervene in human affairs, but in any case a God whom is never to be held accountable for whatever He does. Kind of like the historical father of a family, or leader of men… in a world of flaws and evils of Man. (Well ok, some evil women too, but that’s secondary.)
Albeit in reality, we exist in a…[Read more]
