Sunday School 9 months, 2 weeks ago“I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.” — Charlie Kirk
Well, I think we can feel a little bit more secure now, can’t we?

But I can attest today that a Jesus Fish on a work van or business sign doesn’t necessarily equal trust or quality. Televangelists and Noah’s Ark theme parks do not help matters either.I think the “trust” thing works both ways with religious people. I’m always suspiciously on the look out for tell-tale hypocrisy.

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoHa! Enco, the Church guided water ignorance had a strange but happy side effect. It turns out that the locals (in the uk) discovered that people who drunk wine, gin or beer did not get sick, whereas those drinking water were keeling over everywhere. As a result, adults and children alike were swigging back the alcohol, giving gentle rise to the…[Read more]

RFK Jr. spits out a mouthful of asbestos and takes a swig from his sewage bottle.
“I can already see children getting healthier,” he gurgles, a bone from a roadkill bat lodged in his larynx. “The spike in measles deaths is a sign their mitochondrial vitality is spiking.”
His left ear drops off.

Enco – yes the BBC has been called Auntie Beeb by Brits for longer than I can remember.
Edited to add that Auntie Beeb dates back to the 1940’s and consequently predates me altogether.

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoSimon, the BBC news is a great disappointment to me. The subjects they choose to report on may be accurate within the UK, but their coverage of USA events is hugely biased as they now get their “news” from CNN and similar organisations and it’s incredibly biased and incorrect.
Whilst trying to find actual news on the television rather than from…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months, 3 weeks agoJake and Reg,
Thank you both. You have no idea how written rhythm refreshes me. If it’s good, which here, it clearly is.
As a baby, my mum discovered if she parked my pram in front of a radio, I would shut up completely, not even to express hunger. So I spent my first year or two in close proximity to the music machine. Rhythm is everything.

Unseen started the topic Why is the Democratic Party so hated? in the forum Politics 9 months, 4 weeks ago
Is it because Democrat leaders don’t talk like normal people? They can’t say “pregnant woman,” substituting “pregnant person.”; they insist on reciting their pronouns and want you to recite yours, they insist on saying “unhoused” and seem to find something wrong with “homeless.”
All of these add up to telling the voter “You are stupid” or “you…[Read more]
