Autumn I agree, as I also see most of what Unseen is pointing out. Maybe I’m too caught up on avoiding these smaller battles while a whole bunch of cultural and political battles are at large, with their general theme being their abuse of power while their grabs for even more power are so successful and threatening.
I’m ok with people calling…[Read more]

I’ll help your Majesty out. What do I think of Unseen’s last post in this thread? Well, I think he’s deliberately misunderstanding the issue at hand so he can be dismissive of something he doesn’t understand well. What’s at stake in these investments, other than personal hopes and dreams. Is it not the definition of a zero-sum game, based only on being lucky enough to guess right when it’s time to get out, without regard to any material business effects? It seems to me that in the end, some industries or enterprises also lose out when that money isn’t…[Read more]

The reason why LGBTQ (and other rights issues) are such explosive issues now is because of haters who want to keep raising the anger levels and blame libtards for everything… because they need an enemy to motivate them. So “woke culture” is triggering these conservative snowflakes? No, sorry, Trump and neo-right gang are stealing political po…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 11 months agoI found that transportation point interesting. If you look at the UK for example, the area to cover is quite small and they have a lot of public transport that is heavily used – added to the fact that European cars do over 40mpg, would lead you to believe that without the footprint savings on transport, they’re much worse.
Then you remember t…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 11 months agoUnseen, that’s funny in America but not funny in Denmark, for example. Or Iceland. Or many other places where the government actually works for the people.
It’s a testimony as to how far apart the actions of the US government are from the needs of the people they’re supposed to work for.

Sunday School 3 years, 11 months agoAmericans don’t trust their government. This is a huge element of why there are many unvaccinated people here – and that applies randomly to different state governments as well.
It seems as if your trust in your state government is high, you’ll follow their recommendation and get vaccinated. This can be seen through the different rates of vac…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 11 months agoAutumn it feels here in the USA that fear is the underlying commonality, the emotion constantly simmering under the surface. Fear of any accident that would bankrupt you, fear of sickness you can’t afford the cure for, fear of unemployment – most states let you fire at will. It’s called “Hire at will” which is a little Orwellian.
With fear be…[Read more]

Sidenote, withholding oil is effectively used to pressure entire countries. We need longer term energy strategies, asap.
