@jakelafort – I agree with you, using the term POC is as if white people are the standard, and everyone else is strange or special. Perhaps non-white would be a more neutral term. But then, it sounds like it’s saying someone is a non-person.
Is it right to find a catch-all term for everyone who isn’t white? I guess like you say, it’s ne…[Read more]

@jakelafort – How does theology advance?
Kant destroyed the “proofs” for the existence of god(s) and that was a crowbar to divorce theology from philosophy. Modern philosophy is secular by nature and has no concerns about ancient gods.
Thomas Paine advanced theology to its correct place in intellectually reasoned thought.
“The study of t…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 1 month ago@Jakelafort – I have a good vaporizer that I bought in Calif. I hardly notice the hit. I don’t smoke too much of it (Just the right amount!!), maybe once a month now or even less. I only consume good weed and never buy off the street. I grow my own or know the farmer who has years of experience. Like I said before, I have been a regular consumer…[Read more]

@jakelafort – I’m disappointed that he seems to have acted like a bit of a dumbass, and forgotten the welfare of transgender people who are being used as a weapon by both sides. I’ve heard one transgender activist say, publicly, (literally) that if you question publicly an aspect of transgender orthodoxy, a transgender person is going to kill…[Read more]

@jakelafort – I have added a few of your words to my vocab. You have a knack of using uncommon words that are always apt for the statement you make. Using long words at the correct time does not a Sesquipedalian make. So, don’t become pauciloquent, a word you reminded me of not so long ago. (I am sure you won’t ever 😊).

Thanks for the kind words

This quote resonates with me.
I agree with you on being a happy warrior and alleviate as much suffering as I can, I hope to someday be a beacon of reason. Religion has screwed up my home country. But first I have to take care of myself.

@Jakelafort – Thanks for posting the video. I had not seen it before but was aware of his testament.

Informative and reasonably objective? I thought so, I thought he made a lot of sense.
