Sunday School 1 month, 3 weeks agoIf somebody’s pushing somebody’s elbow as they type at a keyboard, or point to letters, then obviously that’s a pointless exercise. But if they’re doing it themselves, it opens up communication to an otherwise non-verbal person.

Maybe, but I don’t use the word “better”. It even bugs me when people compare their early teen performances with their later years and say they’ve gotten better. More skilled, more creative, more proficient overall, bigger audiences, reactors that are obviously impressed much more than they expected, and often pointing out how DPA are “better”…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 month, 3 weeks agoFacilitated Communication sits at the intersection of hope, identity, and perceived injustice, which makes it unusually resistant to evidence. When you watch FC in action, it can be convincing. The person appears to be communicating fluently, even sometimes at a level far beyond what anyone expected. The problem is that this impression is exactly…[Read more]

Have women raised standards for mates so high that nobody qualifies for so long now that many and maybe most single men have just opted out? Rather than seeking females to bond with, are they now limiting themselves their male friends and “friend zone” females for companionship and hookups with promiscuous females or prostitutes for sex?

A question for you, Pope Beanie: Do you think their songs are getting better at all under the tutelage of a production company, or was their original material (Teatro Metropolitan concert for example). Better or even far better on the whole?

Sunday School 1 month, 4 weeks agoModern workplaces bring together people with fundamentally different worldviews, be they religious, secular, scientific or ideological and then ask them to cooperate as if those differences don’t matter. But in reality, they do matter. The trick is deciding when they matter at work and when they don’t.

I would hope everyone knows who Rick Beato is, but in case you don’t, he’s easily the #1 Youtube expert on music. He’s a genius polymath musician, musicologist, music historian, yada yada yada. He has perfect pitch and plays guitar and keyboards at an expert level. He can listen to and reproduce solos he hears with ease.
