Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoThere have been instances where Russian individuals fleeing their country’s penal system or political repression have sought asylum in the United States, only to face detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). One notable case is that of Alexei Demin, a 62-year-old former naval officer from Moscow. Demin was an active participant…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoThe reality became clear: Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit.

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoRFK Jr., the new Secretary of the HSS, has proposed allowing bird flu to spread naturally through poultry flocks. He suggests that by doing so, farmers could identify and breed birds that exhibit natural immunity to the virus, potentially reducing the need for mass culling. He even said that vaccinating birds would turn the farms into…[Read more]

And California is no model for anything, with rolling blackouts, plus riots, mud-slides, fires, and incompetent emergency response to destroy utility access. And the New Urbanism approach of cramming people into high-density cities…[Read more]

Robert,It’s the scientific consensus. As usual, I defer to the best experts I can find, such as the EPA.
The EPA page assumes falsely that wind and solar can provide enough electricity for the nations entire power needs, let alone electric vehicles, even with all the Kennedys and other Eco-Wackos opposing the wind f…

Trump is starting to test the courts by resisting or ignoring their orders.
These cases will be appealed up to the Supreme Court (good-bye summer recess!) and hopefully Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts who are now the two “swing” justices will be telling him “No, you can’t do that!” for all of his unconstitutional moves and most of his…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoI wonder when/if there will be a standard charging connector across all brands. I don’t see ecars really taking off until there are plenty of charging locations and you can charge your car wherever you find one and not just a location or station that services just one brand of car.
Or, if the industry put their heads together and instituted a…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoSeaside, Florida, is a pioneering example of New Urbanism, designed to create a walkable, community-focused environment with traditional town elements and a focus on pedestrian and bicycle traffic over cars. It is set up like spokes on a wheel, with a shopping area at the center. You can easily walk to shop, dine, or go to the beach.
Trouble is,…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoWhen Trump starts talking science, I know we are about to hear words of wisdom from a stable genius. No one else has such complete grasp of astrophysics, medical science, chemistry, mechanics, electronics, particle physics…..I could go on, the list is long. Just give the man the Nobel Peace Prize already, I am sure he thinks he deserves it. Oh,…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoIt’s just sweet when people vote with their wallets. Trump has been trash-talking electric cars for years, so this Musk/Trump “partnership” is bullshit from the beginning. It will be even more fun as these aluminum framed/steel skinned “bulletproof”, cyber-“trucks” begin to fatigue. Well, not really bullet proof either. I inherited a few WW2…[Read more]

@Jakelafort – glad you liked the video. I would recommend David McRaney’s book too. I have used his ‘technique’ in debates over the last year with some positive results. It helped to fine tune some of my own approaches.

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoOne thing is true time and time again. Modern corporations and their CEOs have short term financial goals. They measure themselves by the quarter. Exhibit A, The “self-regulating” Boeing Company. Look at the tabaco industry or opioid manufacturers if want to know their true nature. Environment be dammed.
