Here’s my favorite (so far) presentation of examples of rock and jazz drum history. (Bonzo’s included, too. You know, that Led Zeppelin drummer.)

a really nice mixtape of Arabic and East European trap musicI have to admit self-defeat now. I really don’t like most trap music I’ve heard. Trap Music
I’m not much “into” trap music except for its technically creative aspects, but it is a topic in music history after all. As an aside to this aside to atheistic topics, somehow relating atheistic themes in this thread will be in the back of my mind, at least. (I’m just going through a phase now of how to invent new music, and learn…[Read more]

There was a bumper sticker on a car in front of me yesterday that said:-
IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED EVOLUTION
so I guess the churches are trying to accommodate science and yet remain relevant.
*spoiler alert – they won’t*

I’m not so clear on the rational side.
I also think that what the Catholic Church covered up by way of abuse, puts them squarely in the unacceptable range. However, in other news…
They accepted that the Earth moved around the sun, only because the evidence that was surfacing was so damn obvious that they had to. So they switched sides to kee…[Read more]

I pretty much agree with all of that, although BBC seems left leaning at times, but I feel mostly aware of the lean and appreciate their sincere attempts. Reddit is one where I might expect a range of leans or non-leans I could pick from, but I haven’t dug far enough into it yet.

PopeBeanie replied to the topic Atheist seeking spirituality? in the forum
Atheism and Spirituality 3 years, 8 months agoRevisiting this topic helped clarify in my mind how I wish to keep using terms like spiritual, sacred, and perhaps other words previously invented and/or owned by writers of religious or metaphysical texts. Some usages of the word sacred, for example, are of secular context.
For as long as I can remember I always felt that spirituality refers to…[Read more]

IMO this is a severely underappreciated topic. I made a public recommendation of your topic here, a couple of weeks ago, but got no bites.
I was just going to “bump” this topic, but I might as well plug my own takes on it at the same time, by also pointing readers/contributors to a group I started long ago, short name “news about the news“. More…[Read more]
